Partners in Hope (PIH) is a non-profit organization with a hospital offering equitable high-quality services. The organization has systems for providing low-cost care to the poor leveraging on its great potential to tap into the vast resources of the growing middle- and upper-class Malawians, and expatriates. PIH was established in 2004 by Dr. Perry Jansen, an American family physician, and a group of committed Malawian professionals to address the devastating HIV and AIDS epidemic in Malawi.
Founded upon the desire to glorify God and demonstrate the love of Christ in word and deed, we are tirelessly and relentlessly committed to providing extraordinary patient care, with compassion and dignity for all. Knitted into the heart of Partners In Hope is the spirit and dedication of our people across our three main areas i.e., Health Service Delivery, Medical Education and Research, and Capacity Building.
PIH has a Medical Centre that operates a general clinic (Dalitso); inpatient ward (Thandizo); an HIV and AIDS clinic (Moyo); and providing support to Ministry of Health, CHAM and Private health facilities in Nine districts. PIH was awarded a Cooperative Agreement No: 72061221CA00010 “Client-Oriented Response for HIV Epidemic Control (CORE) Activity Component One (1)” by the United States of America PEPFAR through USAID. This award is for HIV Care and Treatment implementation in 9 districts: Scale up (Mulanje, Chikwawa and Lilongwe) Sustained (Nsanje, Dowa, Kasungu, Nkhotakota, Karonga, and Chitipa). It was also awarded the 2023 Presidential Zikomo award that was held under the theme “Celebrating Self-reliance”.

Our full range of primary and specialty consultation, which assures outstanding treatment for each and every patient. Partners in Hope also works on expanding its medical network of multispecialty services driven by the needs of the diverse communities we serve.
